St. Nicholas Orthodox Academy (now K-12), is a new school in the Reno area dedicated to providing an Orthodox Christian alternative to public, charter, homeschooling and other Christian-based educational ministries. D4 has worked with St. Nicholas Orthodox on previous projects and because of our expertise in branding, we were called upon to help them with their new brand.

D4 Advanced Media developed an entire marketing and brand strategy and print collateral – nailing it on the head the first time, completing the project within a six-week turnaround. Our graphic designers tactfully navigated the religious component of their school by reflecting what St. Nicholas Orthodox Academy was truly about – an organization that prides themselves on a strong foundation of traditional Christian Orthodox customs. We wanted to incorporate St. Nicholas Orthodox School’s passion for the traditional Byzantine style that was representative of the academy’s practices and beliefs while still creating a modern and fresh look that could be cohesive and consistent throughout all of their brand assets.

Our web designers focused on a Byzantine style – the colors representative of St. Nicholas and their values. The website design for St. Nicholas was based on a simplified, minimalist version of a painting of the iconic crest, incorporating similar colors and symbols throughout the website. Our strategists crafted a plan for traffic flow that centered around St. Nicholas’ goals.

Direct calls to action to learn about the Orthodox church, enroll in the school, or donate are placed strategically throughout the site to ensure that visitors are flowing towards these key areas.

D4  also developed custom online admission forms in our aim for a classic, academic look. As marketing strategists as well as web designers, we want to ensure your website doesn’t just look pretty, but that it achieves your goals and creates a return on your investment.
